Back to declaration
The permission-first AI declaration

Permission should move at the speed of creation.

The missing primitive is not another universal rights database. It is a fast, inspectable answer at the moment a product knows who intends to use which declared asset—and how.

Why this version is stronger

The original IPRS/AIRS vision asked a large and worthy question: how can AI innovation and creator compensation coexist?

This version answers with a smaller product claim. When an AI workflow intentionally invokes a known asset, it should be able to request a policy decision before use and retain evidence afterward.

That is measurable. It can be integrated, replayed, audited, challenged, and improved without pretending one API can settle copyright law.

Six commitments
01

Declared scope

The gateway evaluates intentional uses of known assets. It does not infer every influence in an output.

02

Voluntary terms

Rightsholders state prices and duties. The service does not invent a compulsory royalty.

03

Composed policy

RSL, ODRL, identity, use context, and budget remain distinct inputs with preserved provenance.

04

Explicit uncertainty

Missing authority or contradictory policy is a REVIEW event, not implied consent.

05

Portable evidence

The receipt records the request, sources, answer, terms, time, and service signature.

06

Narrow claim

The API provides transaction evidence. It does not adjudicate ownership, fair use, or infringement.
